It was in the early 1960s when America received its first introduction to Kung fu on the big screen. By this time, many became aware of the late Bruce Lee through movies and from a hit TV show called The Green Hornet. However, many were not fully aware that traditional classical systems of Kung fu existed. Unbeknownst to most in America, there were a handful of martial artists that were secretly practicing the ancient arts of Kung fu before the whole Kung fu craze hit the theaters. These were not copycats, video students or fake wannabes. They were the real deal who were well trained, humble, and disciplined.

These individuals took their perspective arts extremely serious and stayed away from the commercial fanfare. These warriors were secretly fighting in underground bare-knuckle events in Chinatown, with little or no recognition.
